The Consumer Health Care.Division of Boehringer Ingelheim
(Canada) Ltd. (BICL) manufactures and distributes the highest
quality vitamin and health supplement products on the Canadian
market, including the Quest, Ginsana, Ginkoba, Venastat, Movana
and Kyolic brands. Another well-known product marketed by the
division is Dulcolax, a safe and highly effective laxative that
physicians have recommended for years. Natural health products
are sold nationwide in a range of distribution channels,
including drug, health food, grocery and department stores, as
well as wholesale operations.
Quest's parent company, Boehringer Ingelheim, is one of the few
international pharmaceutical development companies involved in
the nutritional supplements category and is a leader in
introducing pharmaceutical professionalism to this market.
Significant investments have been made in Quest's manufacturing,
quality control and distribution operations in Vancouver in
order to deliver premium quality, scientifically-based products
to our customers. The company also prides itself on its highly
innovative and professional marketing, public relations,
retailer and consumer education programs. Sales coverage is
handled by a motivated team of 23 representatives across the
country, with 4 dedicated representatives in the Province of
Quebec. Bilingual customer service representatives in both
Burlington and Vancouver, handle all orders, customer inquiries
and telemarketing.
In addition to the Consumer Health Care Division, Boehringer
Ingelheim has three other divisions in Canada: Prescription
Medicines, Vetmedica (animal health products), and
Boehringer Ingelheim Research.
