Kilian Mfg. is a division of Torrington, one of the world leaders
in precision bearings. The Kilian division, established for over
40 years, specializes in the design and manufacture of unground,
semi-ground and fully ground ball bearings, all of which are
made-to-order to meet the specific requirements of each customer.
Our bearings, while not to ABEC l standards, are well suited for
a variety of applications including but not limited to - auto-
motive rolling van doors, automotive on-road and off-road vehicle
steering columns, glider chairs, sliding partitions, wheelchairs,
metal office furniture, festooning systems, cash drawers, sliding
doors (mirror, patio, reach in coolers) conveyors (overhead parts
handling and garment), elevator door hardware, lumber sorting
systems, exercise equipment, credit card machines, truck seating
and car lumber support systems, bandsaw blade guides, etc.etc.
Designs include full ball complement or caged/retainer types in
all steel or a combination of steel and plastic including nylon
and acetal, available in open, seal or shield designs.
Our equipment includes single spindle and multi-spindle auto-
matic screw machines to a maximum capacity of 2-3/8 inch (60.3
mm) and grinding equipment capable of O.D., I.D., FACE and BALL
TRACK GRINDING.
The company markets its products through Torrington/Kilian sales
personnel and commission agents in North America and Nadella in
the U.K.. In addition, sales have been made to France, Norway,
South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Central America, and South
Korea.
Kilian is interested in marketing to other countries throughout
the world.
