Description:
Pangnirtung Fisheries is a community-owned and operated corporation run by the Inuit of Pangnirtung, Northwest Territories. This fishery specializes in the harvesting, processing, and marketing of Greenland halibut and arctic char. It has also been a major participant in the development of a winter and summer turbot fishery in Cumberland Sound. The company has recently begun developing new summer fisheries for turbot, arctic char,Greenland shark, Icelandic sea scallops, and Northern shrimp.
