Description:
Sila Lodge, located on Wager Bay 50 miles south of the Arctic
Circle, its guests to experience the wilderness through its
interpretive wildlife and nature tours. Wager Bay is located in
the heart of Inuites Nunavut. As a result, travellers are able
to enjoy the natural beauty of the north, as well as an abundance
of Arctic land and sea mammals and birds. Wager Bay is reputed
to be the best area in the world to observe polar bears in their
natural summer habitat. The knowledgeable Inuit guides provide
educations interpretation of the area.
The naturals lodge is comfortable. It is composed of five guest
cabins, each with three bedrooms, washrooms facilities, and a
living room area. The main lodge has showers, a lounge, a
kitchen, and dining room. Home-cooked meals often feature
Aboriginal northern delicacies such as Arctic Char. Sila Lodge
operates from early July to late August. Colour brochures as well
as detailed information is available upon request form the
business office, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Time at the lodge is split between time on the boats from where
we do bear watching and visit other parts of the Bay and hiking
the land. Excellent photo opportunities.

Wildlife Viewing Facility
Sila Lodge Limited
Sila Lodge is a wildlife viewing facility situated 50 miles South
of the Arctic Circle in the new Territory if Nunavut. Boat tours
to see and photograph bears, hiking, archaeological sites,
history and culture.
Sila Lodge is owned and operated by Inuit Partners. The lodge
offers wildlife viewing and photo tours, including history and
culture.
