XIST Inc. is an Ottawa-based federally incorporated Canadian
IM/IT services and management consulting company.
Since 1995, we have specialized in providing information management and knowledge management consulting services, including strategic planning, policy development, governance planning, and business process reengineering. Our technical development services consist of electronic publishing, including web site design, database-to-web applications, and related new media services using Internet, intranet, and extranet technologies.
We have niche market expertise in applying the principles of library and information science to electronic and print business requirements. We have expertise in library and information science, computer science, graphic design, marketing, and project management.
Our primary markets are federal govenrment and large businesses. We hold numerous Standing Offer Agreements with the Government of Canada particularly for IM/IT services procurement.
Primary areas of business include information and knowledge management assesments and strategies, Internet and Intranet applications and content development, web site design and development, standards compliance audits, Internet (database-to-web) application development and programming, graphic and multimedia design, informatics training, library services (inlcuding classification, metadata, thesaurus development, and taxonomies), research and writing, usability assessments, policy analysis, standards development and business planning.
